Thing 3 - How can we use this RSS Stuff?
At our school, several classes always watch CNN news for Teens, I think that's what its called. How cool would it be to have a link on our library page to a RSS!! Every time the students come to the library, or the computer lab, they can check on the news too!! I can't wait to try this out and see if we can put a link in the library page!! OOOh Yea - Party Dance!! On the Table!

Wow... you are getting ahead. Great idea though. We'll cover RSS and Technorati tomorrow in class. I'm working with DTS, because my RSS newsfeeds aren't working on the library website. They used to work on the district server, but not now. They work outside of school computers. Hm-mm-m...a mystery.
i tired finding the RSS on the blogline but it got to confusing did Did I do something wrong? You guys are all getting a few steps ahead of me.
Mary...DTS got the filter issues resolved for adding RSS feeds on our district sites. Works now!

I have had a hard time finding some blogs that interest me too....not to mention the time it takes to read just our class blogs. I think that I should have asked for a laptop for Christmas! By the time I'm sitting at basketball games 3 days a week, think how much I could be blogging during time-outs, half-time, and game changes! Basketball Friday night, all day basketball tournament on Saturday and a church commitment on Sunday afternoon with my daughter. I never sit down to watch TV and my parents have wondered why I haven't been calling them the last few weeks! So much to learn...so little time. Blogging is supposed to make our life easier??!
Sooo.... I finally had some time to try and add a RSS feed to my Spot! I thought I would try and add CNN Student News, because We at WVMS have classes that watch this on a regular basis. now that I have it here, let's see if I can add it to the school web site!
I think that RSS feeds are Great tools to use in the library!
